Travel Guide to Penang

Travelling by using AIR ASIA was not as terrible as i had imagine before. The plane was comfortable enough although we did not get snack and drinking water. The toilet was clean enough. Travelling to Penang Malaysia by using AIR ASIA from Surabaya just took 3 hours. Unfortunately, there is only one schedule, that is on 3.20 pm. However if we fly from Jakarta there are two option time, morning and afternoon. How about the budget? Fortunately i got the promo rate. Only 1.201.00 IDR for return way (baca : PP). Arriving at 19.20 in Malaysian time (1 hour faster than Surabaya) we can take taxi. There is only one taxi in Penang International Airport. We should buy a ticket first to take the taxi. The rate from the airport to Vistana hotel (bukit gambir street) is 31,4 RM. It takes about 15 minutes. The hotel rate is including breakfast only. However we can find many small - medium restaurant surrounding the hotel. Let 's talk about nasi Kandar. It is like nasi Padang in Indonesia, but its rempah taste is more than nasi Padang. The price of nasi Kandar is 4 RM if we choose fried fish or fish egg. For chicken is 5 RM. A glass of Apple juice is 3,9 RM. Maybe, these prices are cheaper than meals in hotel 's restaurant. How about the gift around vistana hotel? If you have a few minute to buy gifts you can go to a small mall behind vistana hotel Bukit Jambul Mall. At first floor we can find a kedai that provide many kinds of gifts. However if you want to buy T shirt i think you should go to other places that provide many collection. Going alone to Penang airport at 21.00 was safe enough by taxi. Actually the flight schedule to Surabaya was at 19.30, but it had been delayed until 4.00 tomorrow morning. The SMS for the delay had been sent more than 10 times with many changes. Hmmm finally you are fail to be my favourite plane. OK maybe we will have a nice trip using this plane next time.
